Which reminds me, a cool quick hack for a python / scheme / whatever
hacker would be to run jack'd ecasund running 8 vanilla in/out recording,
link it to meterbridge and use ecasound's jack transport stuff to control
the transport.
It should have no effects processing, gain or anything. Just per track
arm, record, play, ffwd and rew.
There are times when a simple, plain adat machine is all you need.
