the audio of his WWII Navy band was digitised by ecasound, compressed by
lame, sent via Apache and wget to an ancient portable running Slackware,
connected to a GPRS mobile 'phone taped to a stick to get a signal outside
a Cumbrian farm window, and filtered using sox, much to the amusement of
the studio owner whose ISDN line had died permanently some weeks before.
