Thanks for reporting this problem. I considered QARecord to be a rock solid
stereo recording solution. I have recorded hours of multilayered synthesizer
music at home with QARecord. Although the length of the single tracks was
only 2-6 min., I can not imagine any problems when recording more than
several minutes.

QARecord indeed records to RAM, but this is only a large ringbuffer to
prevent the audio capture from overrunning in case of disc write delays.
QARecord should start writing to disc several milliseconds after the
recording is started.

I'm very interested in resolving this problem. Can you therefore tell me:

1) Which version of QARecord are you using (0.0.9) ?
2) Are you using JACK mode ? (I use JACK mode only occasionally.)
3) What buffering numbers are displayed in the status line ?
4) What hardware are you using (soundcard, CPU speed) ?

I assume that somehow the "handshaking" between the capture thread and the
disc writer thread does not work on your system. Let's find out, why.

Matthias
