Hi,
Obviously you can't regain what's lost. If the product
has never been mastered, then I'd suggest you master
it. JAMin, a jack client, is your friend. JAMin does
not record files so you'll need a jack client wave
editor. There's a several I've used and like Rezound.
If it has been mastered that could be a problem.
Mastering is eq, compression and limiting. If you
compile compression and limiting it will suck. As I'm
sure you can imagine.
