This is becoming an FAQ, somone should probably write a webpage about it.
FWIW I use an (old) dell 8000 (8100), it works well under linux, but its
big ugly, heavy and loud.
However its due for replacement soon, and I will not be getting another
dell. Thier customer support is /terrible/ and the thing is much too
heavy.
