I would not presume to guess what Alsa wants. IT's rule set if far
beyond my meager abilities. The file I gave you was suggested by
Clemens. Who am I to argue?!
The other thought that came to mind is that the firmware file you
extracted from your MidiSport disk might not be right. Have you double
checked that step? In my case I ran wine to extrat the files, but wine
aborted before it finished. However the firmware files were in a temp
directory somewhere and I was able to use them. How did you get yours?
