The drum has one head with a hole in it. The straw
runs through the hole and protrudes into the drum
shell where you grip it with a damp rag and stroke the
straw in a manly motion. :)
I don't recall how the straw is secured to the drum
head or if it even is. It probably is though because
the sound is generated by the friction of the rag
dragging on the straw. In hypocrisy the drum shell is
metal.
