I watched them offline. Does this matter?

AFAIK the videos have been streamed during the conference, but
I do not remember exactly.

One of the most advantages would be that it's not a format for
a particular platform like mov or avi. As I created the linux
audio tutorial videos, one of the most difficult (and
impossible BTW) things to do was to find a format which was
well supported on all platforms (except MPEG2 which creates
huge filesizes and which is a very static format).

Well, I asked http://packages.gentoo.org and there's a newer
version available (0.8.1). If I have some time I'll compile
it and try out again.
