[linux-audio-user] mp3, stereo -> mono

Hi

Is it possible to make a stereo mp3 into mono without first decoding it
to wav, and if so, how?

I'd like to save time and preserve as much quality as possible...

And, no, I don't need info on how to do it with ogg :-)
