I've actually put a lot of thought into the idea for some time now, and
I'm convinced that it could really be awesome.

I've seen some of my "non-musical" friends play that Donkey Konga bongo
game - and it really does teach them things. Everyone enjoys it too.

If you could just approach it in a slightly more rigorous way (but still
make it fun) then you'd have an awesome educational tool. Just adding
bar lines would make it better from my point of view.

I think this sort of software could be a real coup for Linux audio. With
the right library of tutorials, it could become an essential tool in
school music departments.

Anyway, my programming skills are pretty limited and very rusty to say
the least. When I get some time I'd like to have a go - I'm just hoping
that Nintendo or someone doesn't have restrictive patents on this already.
