I'm interested when FW interfaces will reach latencies of pci ones.
MOTU 828 (firewire) on Mac's has 288 samples of latency. Better than
freebob's but still a bit worse than pci.
My Delta44 has 186-sample latency in 2x64 buffer setup.

It matters when you do realtime processing.
