I've read once it's one octave difference between some brands.
Someone on #lad said yamaha is one octave off from about everyone
else. I guess that would be one octave up. Depends on if the first
octave is 0 or 1(?).

My Korg M1 and GEM S3 deem it a C4.
AFAIR, so does Cubase.
