these charts only go up to 20kHz... i heard (good) analog tape decks go up to 40 or 50kHz.. the low freq stuff can easily be approximated with an impulse response (tons of which exist for classic tape decks on noisevault and other sites) but that 'air' above 20khz is what has people coughing up for DSD, 192khz Alsihad HW, etc...

anyone have any resources on how 'noise' is generated in the analog domain? im totally addicted to the timbre's on Jack Danger's recent releases..
