this shell script should also do the job:

#!/bin/bash
find -name \*.mp3 | while read name; do
 name="`echo "$name"|sed 's/^\.\///'`"
 if ! echo $name|grep "/"> /dev/null; then
  continue
 fi
 ln -s "$name" "` basename "$name"`"
done
