no band-in-a-box here! :) here's the quick version of how I did it:

1. arrange 4-bar jazz loops into ardour in two 12-bar sections
2. call up a piano soundfont, record the piano part into ardour
3. call up a acoustic bass soundfont, record the bass part into ardour

it's hard recording jazz when you are only one person. :)
