[LAU] jackd and snapper

I use to be able to get jackd to run with my snapper sound card back
when it was kernel 2.6.11 or so. For some reason it does not work
anymore saying that the card does not support the correct sampling
rates. This is on a Aluminum powerbook g4 867mhz.
