[LAU] getting started with OSC

hello all,

I would like to learn more about OSC: what it can do, how to send
messages, and most importantly, examples of how to use OSC to control
different things. can anyone point me to a resource on the net that
talks about this from a user's prospective? (I am not a programmer,
though I can feel my way around scripts.)
