I've had some hum problems while recording audio with a PCI E-MU 0404.
In the same box, with an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile, the sound was
pristine. All coming out through a set of 8" M-Audio far-field monitors.
The Audiophile was a great experience, while the E-MU was very
disappointing, even though the on-board DSP is nice.
