Geoff, as you found out yourself, it's not easy to find good
documentation that really fits your system. I'm writing a kind of
starters guide for using jack on ubuntu studio
(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuStudio/JackQuickStart). It's
very basic, since the goal is to get it up and running. A good tweaking
guide would be very welcome.
