Hi!
   I don't know too much about VSTs and VSTIs under linux. I know in general
they should work. I know, that people used Kontakt and I seem to remember that
someone used the Personal Orchestra. You would need some VST-host to do this.
Take a look at either:
http://apps.linuxaudio.org
or
http://linux-sound.org
   They both should list such hosts. Ardour can host them and there are some
programs, which only host VSTs (dssi-vst for example).
   I think there's also a list of tested VSTs/VSTIs somewhere, but better wait
for someone else to tell you more about it.
