I believe it is. I've done 26 tracks without an problems but it wasn't
do or die work so maybe I haven't pushed it as hard as you'll need to.

Almost none unless you can get them to write an Alsa driver or release
specs on the card so someone else can. The driver cannot be tested
without access to at least one card so you'd need to buy one or
convince Apogee to donate one.

IMO two RME HDSP 9636 cards would be the most appropriate in terms or
working and tested. You'd sync them with your external Apogee time
source and be in very good shape.
