Rosegarden version? Version of KDE?

I have no RT kernel here, but have no such Rosegarden problems with
2.6.24-1-686 (from Debian Lenny) or 2.6.26-1-686 (from Debian Sid).

There's also a Rosegarden email list with excellent support at
rosegarden-user@email-addr-hidden.
