pretty much the same as DVI, means digital picture, I'm using DVI to
HDMI dongle to connect computer (DVI) to TV (HDMI)... HDMI is mostly
used on TVs so you want it if you want to connect notebook to TVs. Big
TVs make for pretty good monitors (using 52 inch lcd with my gaming
computer, amazing)
