[LAU] changing jack connections via midi

Hello,
is it possible to change jack connections via midi? I am looking at
building a modular setup where each module is an effect with an input
and an output (could be jack-rack, rakarrack, supercollider...), and
with my pedal board (or any other means of creating midi data) I would
change connections between these modules. Is it possible?

If not directly, is it possible with say supercollider to change jack
connections? (I'll ask this on the sc-users list too)

If you have any other ideas/tips on how to build such a setup, please
let me know!
