I don't use those proprietary applications, but as you said, "almost
all" and "make some xruns" are typical problems with the ALSA JACK
module, which never was any good. I believe you will see better
performance running through pulseaudio and then output to jack. All ALSA
applications will then send their audio to pulseaudio which then sends
it out on JACK.
