Thanks Patrick, that's what i wanted to know.

So i'm better off telling mpd and pulse to convert to 24/192? Given that
my asound conf is:
pcm.pulse {
        type pulse
}

ctl.pulse {
        type pulse
}

That should accomplish this if pulse and mpd are set to 24/192 correct?
