I wasn't, but did and the xruns subsided substantially. But still
nothing that I would consider "studio quality".

I did some network tests and although I have a small(er) pipe, jackd
with the -net backend only consumes ~2% of the bandwidth with 2
channels of audio. There are no bottlenecks on the client or server
machine: cpu is 98% idle, I/O is minimal -- so I'm left wondering.

I'd really like to use this as I have random machines hanging around
that could pick up small duties, like the tasks described in that
article.
