I would recommend the 'bowsense' from Notam/Hans Wilmers:

It can measure the acceleration (including gravitation) vector in 3D,
and can transmit it at a rate of 100 or 200 Hz via bluetooth to your PC.
There you can transform it into OSC messages to control your synth
(together with the pedal rate). And the included gyrometer might improve
the the falling detection...
