I agree. A few years back while still a student, I bought a 3-pack of
Behringer XM1800S dynamic mics for £25 or something like that. I guess
they're a similar standard to the PG58.

I've made quite a few musical recordings with them, and while you *can*
tell the difference between them and more expensive condenser mics, who
is actually listening for that?

Good music / a good band will sound good no matter what microphones you use.
