After digging in the code, looks like I was wrong. The
'Control Port' in ingen is:

     http://lv2plug.in/ns/lv2core#ControlPort

Which is described as:

     :ControlPort a rdfs:Class ;
         rdfs:label "Control port" ;
         rdfs:subClassOf :Port ;
         rdfs:comment """
     Ports of this type will be connected to a pointer to a
     single value conforming
     to the 32bit IEEE-754 floating point specification.
     """ .

I.e. it is /not/ an array/stream of values but instead a
single control value (like a global variable).
