I'm confused, too. But I'm easily confused. I've never had to do
anything else than run JACK to connect things up. (Well, ZynAddSubFX can
still be uncooperative, but Yoshimi meets ZynAddSubFX fixes that.)

What "sequencer" are you using, Julian?
