Yes, that's what I thought. So, the digital coming out <expensive
card> should be identical to the digital from my MB. Unless there is
some other software layer (which I don't think there is), I don't see
how it can be different.

Oh, that just takes more expensive gear :) But, generally, out board
will be cleaner than a computer sound card??? Seriously, the more I
can do out side of the computer box, the more comfortable I am.
