Hmm, I added myself to the audio group (which owns /dev/fwX and the
problem persists:

atte@email-addr-hidden:~$ ll /dev/fw*
crw------- 1 root root 252, 0 Jan 17 23:33 /dev/fw0
crw-rw----+ 1 root video 252, 1 Jan 17 23:33 /dev/fw1
atte@email-addr-hidden:~$ grep atte /etc/group
video:x:91:atte
audio:x:92:atte
power:x:98:atte
sudo:x:1000:atte
lpadmin:x:1001:atte

By accident I ran ffado-dbus-server, and now jack starts, runs and works.

However it's not as smooth as with 2.6.31-rt/ubuntu. I installed the
kernel26rt (gave me 2.6.31-rt) with this in pacman.conf

Server = http://repos.archaudio.org/stable/i686

However that doesn't work well with my graphic card, leaving me with
1024x768 on a wide screen laptop + HD external monitor. I installed the
xf86-video-intel since:

atte@email-addr-hidden:~$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

Any arch'ers outthere got any experience with this particular rt kernel
and could provide any hints?
