Fritz, thanks for your reply. The device looks indeed
almost perfect (expect those little knobs that may
well break with time; hopefully that won't be a big
problem).

I just took a look at the manual and there seems to
be a "special driver" for 24 bits processing for win&osx.

Do you (or anyone on the list) know if ALSA handles
that case? I mean, if I buy the thing but it can only
work in 16 bits mode, that won't be very useful...
I digged a bit on the web, nothing conclusive.

So if someone is using this device in 24 bits mode
(to record music), show up!
