To reply to myself, reviving this old thread: I have found a more or
less OOTB solution for voice-to-drums, albeit for Windows. It is called
KTDrumTrigger and is a freeware VST plugin. It works inside Reaper, so
there is a chance for it working on Linux - within Reaper or other hosts
that support Windows VST using Wine.
