There are now many audio companies that are choosing to go the Linux route
for their hardware/software platforms. They just don't get any press
because AVID controls the media with their advertising spend even though
they are loosing over $8 million a month and are nearly $1bil in debt.
Somehow they still manage to find the funds to pay for their monopoly over
the worlds audio/digital media. It's almost like they have an unlimited
supply of cash...

Not until they get realtime audio right. At the moment it's a severe
disadvantage and blocking a lot of work from going forward.
