[LAU] Maudio Delta 66 Not recognised on GA-Z68AP-D3

Hello all.

I havent had to post anything to such a wide variety of knowledegable
people before so forgive me if I have broken any etiquette, but I have a
pretty big problem.

I recently spent a big wad of cash building a rig based on the
GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard. I built it primarily for audio production on
linux using my Maudio Delta 66 Rev B sound card. The card works fine
when no graphics card is installed but as soon as I install my NVIDIA
7900GTO card in the PCIex16 slot - alsa fails to see the soundcard. All
I get listed in aplay -l is my onboard sound or, if I switch off onboard
sound, no cards listed.

I have been on the Ubuntu Studio forums (this is the main OS I use for
Audio) but have been unable to get a solution.

I have tried a few options. I have tried the 3 series kernel from
upstream but that didnt help. I have tried installing the proprietary
driver for th NVIDIA card which has allowed use of Message Signalled
Interrupts but that has not helped. I have updated the BIOS version to
the current one from the manufacturers website. I am also on my second
motherboard as the first one was returned due to a defect.

I have also tested the sound card and graphics card on a friends Asus
P8Z68 Deluxe motherboard. The soundcard is detected from a live CD with
both my NVIDIA card installed and my friends ATI card. So it appears not
to be an issue of defective card.

I have also tested the set up with Ubuntu 11.10 and AV Linux. They have
the same basis so no difference.

I am pretty much out of options at this point. I dont know what to do.
Using the system with just the ondboard graphics is not ideal as the
Mobo only has HDMI out - which means I would need to buy a new monitor
as mine doesnt support HDMI.
