Oh, that's AKM, which does make the chips on his ADC/DAC2000,
 as I just read on the product page.

Anyway I'm thinking more now that he is missing some ALSA controls.

His converters are external. Does ALSA know how to work with
 such converters? I'll read a bit more tomorrow. I bet some better answers
 will appear here though...
