Some folks are happily using lemma.

Really, though, that's the beauty of open source ... each to his own.
And the source is there for someone to create a GUI from ... Just not
me: emacs is my GUI of choice :)

Seriously, I think it depends a lot on what kind of music one is doing
as well. I do mostly jazz standard stuff, and it's easy to follow on a
bar-to-bar basis. If one is doing loop tracks, it might be a different
story.
