It could happen that a confirmation message never reaches the original
poster.

Did you try to send a message with an empty body, but the subject

  unsubscribe

to
  
  linux-audio-user-request@email-addr-hidden

?

I don't know if it requires confirmation, too.

If unsubscribing by an email shouldn't work, a temporarily workaround
could be to send a mail without a subject, but message body

  set authenticate PASSWORD
  set delivery off

to

  linux-audio-user-request@email-addr-hidden

JFTR _not_ to

  linux-audio-user@email-addr-hidden

so you at least wouldn't receive emails anymore.
