We are never talking about
unbalanced out --> balanced in
we are only talking about
balanced out --> unbalanced in
The difference would be
balanced out unbalanced in

to
balanced out unbalanced in
+ ─────
- ────┐
0 ────┴
IMO it doesn't make a difference.
