What great help, thanks very much!! As for the center channel, maybe I
will ultimately follow your advice; I have all the parts for two LXmini's;
I bet one of those would be a nice center speaker. But I'm taking a little
rest from all the amplifiers and configuring... :) That Behringer 8200
sounds good. But, should I get another Tango24 if it's not much more?
For now, I love your idea about using the motherboard's spdif to get 2 more
channels!! I already have everything I need to do that. And though I
haven't done it before, I should be able to measure delays and sync up the
different speakers by adding a little delay here and there in my
LADSPA/ecasound chainsetup. I have to have the optical isolation; never
was able to get rid of all the hum from my computer...
Do those expensive D/A boxes have a lot lower noise?
