I only have got one tower PC for audio production as well as
for "averaged" desktop usage. Again, to watch a video I use plain alsa.
If an MUA or a script should notify me by sound, I'm using the bell/pc
speaker beep.

Non of the desktop app calculators I'm using does produce sound, there
is no key I could mouse click to play "ein kleines Musikstück".
