Thanks for your lenghty reply, Jeanette, also to Christopher for the
additional links. And the hint with the early reflections in the
universe. Though a sound reflected from our moon in comparisson to the
solar system might qualify as...

Anyway, the sampling rate of the files is correct, the same as jack is
running, I'll check with the responses I have just downloaded courtesy
to your links.

I've read a lot of good stuff about jconvolver, but it seems to be too
complicated for me, in opposite probably due to the lack of a gui and
integration in to the DAW. I've once seen a configuration file and could
not figure out, what it wanted from me, so I'll passed on to freeverb,
same here, so I went with ir.lv2, as I already knew that klangfalter is
not supported with ardour.
