This might be of interest to c++ programmers...

I just downloaded split2000, a lossless compressor. I was interested to
see that the source comes with the following notice, in a libraries
directory called split2000/bcbase:

"This is the library used to build Broadcast 2000, Mix 2000, XPhone, and
Split 2000. It was optimized for multithreaded audio programs...In
addition to GUI objects it contains various convenience objects of
interest to C++ programmers who don't want to get bogged down in the
standard g++ includes... Since Broadcast 2000 was Too Damn Expensive to
program, consider this library statically linkable in commercial
programs as long as you mention the author and redistribute the
library's source code when called upon. Aside from this, everything
else from the following license applies...."

Then there follows the text of the GPL version 2.
So, you can use it.
