No, it stands for `Simple API for XML' and is some kind of standard in the
java world. The parser informs the application thru event handlers
(callback functions) whenever it finished parsing a useful information
unit (e.g. a complete tag like <event pitch="72" velocity="45">). This
notification happens `in real time' during the parsing process and
probably could be used for streaming. Compared to yacc its a low level
API.
