Subject: [linux-audio-dev] bad latency benchmark results with SMP kernel

Hi,
I have been running Benno's latest benchmarks
on a Dual Pentium II 400 Mhz. (kernel 2.2.10,
N6 patch and rtc patch applied).
I got very bad results on the /proc stresstest.
After mailing with Benno, and trying all sort
of things, I finally discovered that when I
compile my kernel without SMP support, the
result *are* good.
This seems to mean that the N6 patch is not
working well for SMP.
Can somebody with a SMP machine confirm this ?
Or even better: fix it :-)
Ingo: maybe you don't have access to a Dual
processor machine. Can you point out where
I should look to fix the problem ?
Regards
Maarten
