How reliable *are* those Studer consoles really? What happens if one DSP fries
in the middle of a show? Or an ADC? And how many complete SMP Linux boxes +
audio interfaces can you buy instead of one Studer console?

I think there are more fault tolerant systems and less "bug free" systems in the
modern designs... And I think that's the way to go, and even more so in
environments where power consumption and physical size isn't all too critical.
