By that logic, so was Windows NT itself, since NT is merely the Windows
interface tacked on top of DEC VMS (honestly... it was engineered by the
same guy).
I'm personally of the opinion that _nothing_ warrants as heavy a solution
as COM or possibly even as heavy as CORBA. (/me ducks as the firestorm
heads his way from the aRTs and KDE folks) If you need some sort of RPC,
open a damn socket. It's not hard to code, it's supported on every
platform in existence today, and is accessible from every programming
language that takes itself seriously. Geez.
