Why would you need such files? Well, nobody wants carry their multitrack
project in one 4 Gbytes audiofile!
Just store every clip to their own files and additionally store the project
file to disk.
If you really need to have them all in the same file, then look at OMF.
But even that is not meant to be a production format. Tar works very well
too.
